Our first Philanthropy project. Set to take place over Winter Quarter of 2006, we hope to revolutionize Greek philanthropies here at the University of Washington.

Phi Kappa Tau's national philanthropy is the Hole in the Wall Camps. Our goal is to send as many kids from the Seattle area as possible to these camps.

We are asking for partnership from the ladies of each of the Panhellenic Sororities in our efforts by means of events put on by each house respectively, as well as ourselves, including the second annual Rump-Shake-a-Thon!

2007-2008 Fairy Godsister Project

Under philanthropy chairman Ryan Brown and his philanthropy committee, the Fairy Godsister project made great strides this year. The philanthropy made over $2000 total to give to the Hole In The Wall Foundation this year. This was made possible by cookie sales, the Rump-Shake-a-Thon, the christmas cocktail, a clothes drive, and especially the culminating banquet.

The banquet, held on April 26, 2008, brought in over $1300 for the philanthropy. Held at the chapter house, we provided our guests with a great meal and tasty desserts. A dessert auction and raffles for prizes were held, which brought it great money and helped keep our guests entertained. The results were tabulated and it was determined thatGamma Phi Beta raised more money for the cause than all other sororities combined.

All in all, the project was a great experience and the brothers of Phi Tau did a great job carrying it out. We also had wonderful sponsors and parental contributions that helped make a good project even better. We were very satisfied with our performance and have ambitious, yet definitely attainable goals to make the 2009 Fairy Godsister project even better!

2008-2009 Fairy Godsister Project:

We expect great things in the 2008-2009 school year, when Corey Zamanian takes over the project. Stay tuned for more information on the Haunted House.
